Our Unit has Liability Insurance and we require our handlers and K9s to be certified as soon as they have met that level. This is through either and/or , National Narcotic Drug Dog Association NNDDA, or International Police Working Dog Association IPWDA.
This Unit was organized in April 2006. Our Unit consists of Experienced K9 handlers, having between 3 and 9 years of experience in this field. We look for Missing People, that are deceased. We are here to support and help the Law Enforcement in the surrounding areas and beyond. When contacted by Law Enforcement we activate immediately; we are available 24/7. When we are contacted by family members, we first talk to the detective on the case. If our assistances is required we are activated and on the road within one hour.
We are a not for profit 501(c)(3) organization here to help the Law Enforcement, families and communities to locate a missing person. We do not charge for our services. We mostly cover our own expenses, or raise money through Public Education, and / or Donations from the public and business’.
Currently, we offer K9's for HRD (Human Remains Detection) also known as Recovery.
We hold several certification's of Training for Recovery through Indiana Homeland Security.
